Sample itinerary

  • Day 1

    Flight to Washington DC.

  • Day 2

    Guided tour of Washington DC, ending at Arlington Cemetery (worlds largest military graveyard). Visit to Ford’s Theatre Museum – site of Lincoln’s assassination.

  • Day 3

    Full day coach tour to several of the most strategic locations of the Civil War Era. Visit Harper’s Ferry (which changed hands between the Confederacy and the Union 8 times in 4 years). Gettysburg Battlefield to see where Lincoln made his famous address, stopping at Antietam, site of one the deadliest battles.

  • Day 4

    Full day coach tour, include guided tour of the Museum of the Confederacy and the petersburg Battlefield sites.

  • Day 5

    Morning visit to African American Civil War Museum. Transfer to the airport for return flight to the UK.

  • Day 6

    Arrive in the UK.
