Sample itinerary

  • Day 1

    Travel to Paris. Check in to hotel. Evening meal at local restaurant.

  • Day 2

    Breakfast at hotel. Meet guide for tour of the key sites of the French Revolution including Place de Concorde, scene of the executions, Place de la Bastille and the Conciergerie, where Marie Antoniette was interned. In the afternoon take a self-guided tour of Les Invalides, home to Napoleon’s tomb and to the French Military museum with excellent galleries on the Revolutionary and Napoleonic war. Evening meal at local restaurant.

  • Day 3

    Breakfast at hotel. Board coach and drive to the Palace of Versailles for a guided tour with emphasis on the early months of the Revolution. Return to Paris in late afternoon for option of visiting the Louvre and Tuillerie Gardens. Evening meal at local restaurant.

  • Day 4

    Breakfast at hotel and board coach for return to UK.
